TERMS AND CONDITIONS
Dr. DaShanne Stokes (“host” / “Dr. Stokes”) reserves the right to update, change, or replace any part of these Terms and Conditions at any time without prior notice. It is your responsibility to check this page periodically for changes. Your continued use of or access to the webinar series or materials following the posting of any changes constitutes acceptance of those changes.
PRICING
Prices are subject to change without notice, but the price at the time of purchase is final.
PAYMENT TERMS
Access is only granted once payment is fully processed. All funds are to be in United States Dollars (USD).
NON-TRANSFERABILITY
Tickets may not be sold, traded, or gifted to any other individual without express written consent from the Host. Purchase or registration for webinar content grants a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license for personal use only.
NO REFUND POLICY
All sales are final. No refunds will be provided for non-attendance or technical issues on the user’s end.
By registering for webinar content, single session or otherwise, the registrant confirms that they have read and agree to the Terms & Conditions, including the No-Refund policy.
Regardless of attendance or use of materials, NO REFUNDS will be issued once registration is complete. Technical or other difficulties on the part of the attendee do not qualify for a refund. This includes, but is not limited to, changes in personal schedule, lack of interest, or accidental registration.
Registration fees for the 'Citizen's Survival Guide' series are non-refundable. Because this is a live event with immediate access to digital materials and proprietary content, all sales are final. If you cannot attend live, Early Bird, Full Pass, and Vault holders will still have access to the session recordings as outlined in their registration tier at the time of sign-up.
INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY AND NO RECORDING POLICY
You may not record, reproduce, or distribute any portion of the webinar content without prior written consent.
1. Ownership of Content
All materials and content provided or presented during the Citizen's Survival Guide series, including but not limited to digital slides, worksheets, video presentations, audio, and text, are the exclusive intellectual property of Dr. DaShanne Stokes. Your purchase of a ticket grants you a single-user, non-exclusive, non-transferable license for personal, educational use only.
2. Prohibited Recording and Distribution
To protect the integrity of the series and the privacy of all participants, the following actions are strictly prohibited:
No Recording: You may not record, screen-capture, screen record, or "rip" any portion of the live or recorded webinar using any software, hardware, or external recording device.
No Distribution: You may not share, sell, or distribute your access links, login credentials, or any downloaded materials (PDFs, etc.) to any third party.
No Public Display: You may not broadcast or "stream" the content in a public or group setting without prior written consent.
No Use of Likeness: You may not use Dr. DaShanne Stokes' personal likeness in any form or manner without his prior written consent.
Copyright: Dr. DaShanne Stokes retains all copyright for all materials directly and indirectly presented or made available in connection with the series.
3. Enforcement and Remedies
Violation of this policy will result in the immediate termination of your access to the webinar series and any related materials without a refund. Dr. DaShanne Stokes reserves the right to pursue all available legal remedies, including injunctive relief and damages, for any unauthorized use or theft of intellectual property.
NOT RESPONSIBLE FOR CONNECTIVITY OR HARDWARE
Dr. Stokes and his affiliates are not responsible for the user’s internet connection or hardware issues.
TECHNICAL REQUIREMENTS AND USER COMPATIBILITY
1. Software and Version Compatibility
Dr. Stokes and his affiliates do not guarantee that provided digital materials (including PDFs, worksheets, or video files) will be compatible with your specific software, operating system, or device versions. It is the registrant’s sole responsibility to ensure they have the necessary, up-to-date programs (such as Adobe Acrobat, a modern web browser, or specific media players) required to open, read, or use the materials.
2. Quality of Experience
While every effort is made to provide high-quality audio and video, the Host does not guarantee that you will be able to hear, see, or view live sessions or recordings perfectly. The quality of the stream and the ability to access the content may be affected by factors outside the Host's control, including but not limited to:
Your internet bandwidth and stability.
Your hardware capabilities (speakers, monitors, processors).
Firewall or security settings on your local network/device.
3. No Refunds for Technical Issues
As stated in the No-Refund Policy, technical issues on the attendee's end—including the inability to access or view materials due to software incompatibility or hardware failure—do not constitute grounds for a refund or credit.
LIABILITY AND INDEMNIFICATION
ANY ACTIONS YOU TAKE BASED ON THE CONTENT ARE YOUR SOLE RESPONSIBILITY AND AT YOUR OWN RISK.
CONTENT AND MATERIALS PROVIDED BY DR. DASHANNE STOKES ARE FOR EDUCATIONAL AND INFORMATIONAL PURPOSES ONLY. NO WARRANTY, LIABILITY, OR GUARANTEE FOR ANY CONTENT IS STATED OR IMPLIED. THE CONTENT PROVIDED DOES NOT CONSTITUTE LEGAL, FINANCIAL, MEDICAL, PROFESSIONAL, SECURITY, OR OTHER ADVICE OR COUNSEL. DR. DASHANNE STOKES AND HIS AFFILIATES ARE NOT RESPONSIBLE FOR ACTIONS TAKEN OR OUTCOMES BASED ON THE INFORMATION PROVIDED IN THESE SESSIONS. PARTICIPANT DISCRETION IS ADVISED.
1. INDEMNIFICATION
YOU AGREE TO INDEMNIFY, DEFEND, AND HOLD HARMLESS DR. DASHANNE STOKES, HIS AFFILIATES, EMPLOYEES, AND AGENTS FROM AND AGAINST ANY AND ALL CLAIMS, DAMAGES, OBLIGATIONS, LOSSES, LIABILITIES, COSTS, OR DEBT, AND EXPENSES (INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO ATTORNEY'S FEES) ARISING FROM:
YOUR USE OF AND ACCESS TO THE WEBINAR SERIES AND ITS CONTENT AND MATERIALS;
YOUR VIOLATION OF ANY TERM OF THESE TERMS AND CONDITIONS;
YOUR VIOLATION OF ANY THIRD-PARTY RIGHT, INCLUDING WITHOUT LIMITATION ANY COPYRIGHT, PROPERTY, OR PRIVACY RIGHT.
2. HOLD HARMLESS
BY REGISTERING FOR THIS SERIES, YOU AGREE TO HOLD DR. DASHANNE STOKES HARMLESS FOR ANY TECHNICAL FAILURES, INTERRUPTIONS OF SERVICE, OR ANY DIRECT OR INDIRECT DAMAGES RESULTING FROM YOUR PARTICIPATION. YOU ACKNOWLEDGE THAT THE INFORMATION PROVIDED IS FOR EDUCATIONAL PURPOSES AND THAT ANY ACTIONS YOU TAKE BASED ON THE CONTENT ARE AT YOUR OWN RISK.
3. LIMITATION OF LIABILITY
IN NO EVENT SHALL THE TOTAL LIABILITY OF THE HOST (DR. DASHANNE STOKES) EXCEED THE TOTAL AMOUNT PAID BY YOU FOR THE SPECIFIC WEBINAR SESSION GIVING RISE TO THE CLAIM.
DISPUTE RESOLUTION AND MANDATORY ARBITRATION
1. AGREEMENT TO ARBITRATE
YOU AGREE THAT ANY DISPUTE, CLAIM, OR CONTROVERSY ARISING OUT OF OR RELATING TO THESE TERMS AND CONDITIONS, THE WEBINAR SERIES, OR THE BREACH, TERMINATION, ENFORCEMENT, INTERPRETATION, OR VALIDITY THEREOF, SHALL BE DETERMINED BY BINDING ARBITRATION RATHER THAN IN A COURT OF LAW. THIS MEANS YOU ARE WAIVING YOUR RIGHT TO A TRIAL BY JURY OR TO PARTICIPATE IN A CLASS ACTION.
2. LOCATION AND SELECTION
THE ARBITRATION SHALL BE CONDUCTED IN A LOCATION SOLELY DETERMINED BY DR. DASHANNE STOKES (THE HOST). UNLESS OTHERWISE AGREED, THE ARBITRATION SHALL BE ADMINISTERED BY A RECOGNIZED ARBITRATION BODY (SUCH AS AAA OR JAMS) IN ACCORDANCE WITH ITS COMMERCIAL ARBITRATION RULES.
3. COSTS
EACH PARTY SHALL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR THEIR OWN ATTORNEY'S FEES AND COSTS, AND THE COSTS OF THE ARBITRATOR SHALL BE SHARED EQUALLY, UNLESS THE ARBITRATOR DETERMINES THAT A CLAIM WAS FRIVOLOUS OR BROUGHT IN BAD FAITH. IF THE CLAIM IS FRIVOLOUS OR IN BAD FAITH, THE REGISTRANT AGREES TO COMPENSATE DR. STOKES FOR ALL FEES AND COSTS DIRECTLY AND INDIRECTLY ASSOCIATED WITH THE CLAIM.
4. FINALITY
THE ARBITRATOR’S AWARD SHALL BE FINAL AND BINDING, AND JUDGMENT ON THE AWARD RENDERED BY THE ARBITRATOR MAY BE ENTERED IN ANY COURT HAVING JURISDICTION THEREOF.
GOVERNING LAW
THESE TERMS AND CONDITIONS SHALL BE GOVERNED BY AND CONSTRUED IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE LAWS OF THE STATE OF KENTUCKY, UNITED STATES OF AMERICA, WITHOUT REGARD TO ITS CONFLICT OF LAW PROVISIONS. ANY DISPUTES SHALL BE RESOLVED IN THE COURTS OF THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA IN THE STATE OF KENTUCKY.
No Warranty or Guarantees: while the webinar provides valuable information, Dr. Stokes and his affiliates do not guarantee specific personal, professional, political, or other results or accuracy or timeliness of information and content.
By registering for individual sessions or the series as a whole, the registrant agrees to limit Dr. Stokes's liability to the amount the user paid for the ticket.
HOST CANCELLATION, INTERRUPTIONS, AND FORCE MAJEURE
If the host cancels, a full refund or credit for a future session will be issued.
In the event of a cancellation, registrants will be notified as quickly as possible.
In the event that it is impractical, illegal, impossible, or inadvisable for a session or multiple sessions to be held, neither Dr. Stokes nor his affiliates shall be liable for any failure or delay in performance due to circumstances beyond his reasonable control, including but not limited to: acts of God, war, strike, civil unrest, inclement weather, government regulations, disaster, strikes, civil disorder, incapacity of the speaker for any reason, cyber attacks, platform issues, earthquakes, fire, flood, epidemic, pandemic, government enforced lockdown, police action, or a localized or widespread interruption in internet or electrical services. In the event of such an occurrence, the Host reserves the right to reschedule the event or provide a credit toward a future session. The Host's liability is limited to the rescheduling of the event. If the event cannot be rescheduled within 30 days, a full refund of the registration fee will be the sole remedy. Dr. Stokes reserves the right to reschedule sessions without penalty.
CODE OF CONDUCT
Behavior: Dr. Stokes reserves the right to remove anyone who is being disruptive, disrespectful, or harassing other attendees or the host without a refund. Dr. Stokes reserves the sole discretion to determine what constitutes disruptive behavior.
ACCESS AND TECHNOLOGY
Participants are responsible for ensuring they have the necessary hardware, software, and internet connection to access the webinar. Dr. Stokes and his affiliates are not responsible for technical failures on the participant's side.
Access Duration: Registration grants access to the live session(s) and benefits associated with each session as outlined on the series page, currently located at https://www.dashannestokes.com/speaking-series.html. Benefits associated with each tier of registration are outlined on the registration page. No benefits or access beyond that stipulated on the registration page will be granted.
Access to recordings for 'Early Bird,' 'Full Pass,' and 'Vault' holders is granted for the duration specified in the tier description at the time of purchase. Dr. Stokes does not guarantee that recording access will be indefinite or permanent. Dr. Stokes reserves the right to migrate content to new platforms or retire content after the stated access period has expired.
Login Sharing: login credentials are for one user only and sharing accounts will result in immediate termination of access without a refund.
ENTIRE AGREEMENT
These Terms and Conditions constitute the entire agreement between you and Dr. DaShanne Stokes regarding the webinar series and content and supersede all prior agreements or communications.
